Various training programmes such as CMP Training, MCM training, President training, AI Single & Cluster, AMCU, First Aid, Secretary, Tester training & P.D training are being arranged from time to time to enhance work efficiency. The officers of the union are also being trained in different disciplines.
GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA – ₹5 Milk Producers’ Incentive Scheme
During 2008-09, to encourage rural farmers to take up dairying, the Government of Karnataka announced an incentive scheme of ₹2 per litre of milk supplied to the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).
Subsequently, with effect from 14-05-2013, the Government enhanced the incentive to ₹4 per litre of milk.
Further, the incentive amount was increased to ₹5 per litre to strengthen the dairy sector and enhance the income of milk producers across the state
STEP
STEP is designed by KMF through Govt funds provides Golden opportunity to village women, implemented by Vijayapur & Bagalkot Milk Union.
The Programme of STEP aims
- To organize exclusive Women Dairy Cooperatives and to take up employment cum income generation activities.
- To provide need based and extensive training for skill upgradation.
- Mobilizing women in formation of Self Help Groups as a tool for income generating activity and for easy access to credit.
Ksheera Bhagya Yojana
Ksheera Bhagya Programme is a flagship and prestigious scheme of the Government of Karnataka, implemented through the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF). It was launched in 2013 with the primary aim of improving the nutritional levels of school and Anganwadi children and boosting milk consumption in the state. Under this programme, milk is distributed five days a week to all school and Anganwadi children through the respective Milk Unions, in the form of milk powder, free of cost. To facilitate this distribution, all Milk Unions supply whole milk powder to Anganwadis and schools for preparation and serving to the children.
